How to Care for your Lap Cozy Pet Edition:

The Lap Cozy is made up of 3 parts:

1. Lap Cozy Bed

2. Lap Cozy Cover

3. Lap Cozy Topper

Lap Cozy Bed information and Care instructions:

The Lap Cozy Bed is made up of Polyurethane injected Foam, much like mattresses, pillows and seat or couch cushions.
This type of foam is a fairly dense material. Moisture from spills should not make it very deep into the foam and usually only occurs with heavy amounts of water.
Basic instructions:

• Do not submerge the foam. It will take several days to dry.

• Do not spray any chemical cleaners on it.

• Do not put in the washing machine.

• Do not attempt to dry in a clothing dryer.

• Do not use a carpet cleaning machine.

• Do not use a steam cleaner.

Should you get a small spill on your foam:

1. Remove the Lap Cozy Cover and take a dry towel and lightly blot the foam. *Be sure to not use any household cleaners as those chemicals can seep into the foam and the smell of the cleaner may remain.

2. Take your cozy and leave it in the sun or a warm place. *The Lap Cozy Bed may take several hours to dry.

3. Make sure the Lap Cozy Bed is fully dry by squeezing the section that got wet and checking for moisture.

4. Reinstall the clean and dry Lap Cozy Cover.

Should you get Pet urine on your bed that does not come out after following the above suggestion:

1. Repeat the process, but use a light amount of vinegar in the water to dab the spot.

2. Leave in direct sunlight for a full day. (Sometimes more depending on amount of smell)

3. Visit your local Pet Supply and purchase a gentle urine neutralizer. Very lightly spray or dab on the spot outdoors, dab with a dry towel and allow to fully dry in a well-ventilated and sunny spot.

Special Consideration for Pets who tend to have frequent accidents:

Sometimes as our pets age or get injured they have difficulty with holding their potty, vomit or occasionally cough up a hairball. If this is the case with your pet, we suggest getting a small plastic bag and putting your Lap Cozy Bed into that plastic, then placing the zippered Lap Cozy Cover over it. The Lap Cozy Topper and Cover should absorb the majority of these type accidents.

The Lap Cozy Cover is made of a Cotton/Poly Blend woven material. The material is meant to be washable and dried.

The Lap Cozy Cover basic cleaning instructions:

1. Unzip the cover and remove the Lap Cozy Bed from inside.

2. Zip the cover closed

3. Hand Wash or place in a washing machine on a gentle cycle.

4. Dry on lowest temperature in the dryer or air dry.

• Do Not Bleach.

• Keep in mind that some cleaner fragrances can be too strong for animals. Do not use heavy amounts of soap or detergent.

• A second cover can be purchased on our site and is a great way to have a backup when you are washing and drying your cover.

• Urine smells can be difficult to remove and a gentle urine neutralizer from a local pet store may help.

Lap Cozy Topper information and Care Instructions:

The Lap Cozy Topper is made of a dual backed sherpa material. The material is meant to be washable and dried.

THE LAP COZY Topper BASIC CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS:

1. Hand Wash or place in a washing machine on a gentle cycle.

2. Dry on lowest temperature in the dryer or air dry.

• Keep in mind that some cleaner fragrances can be too strong for animals

• A second topper can be purchased on our site and is a great way to have a backup when your washing and drying your topper.

• Urine smells can be difficult to remove and a gentle urine neutralizer from a local pet store may help.
